Tai Chi coaching to help you go deeper

This isn’t another class, video, or workshop. It’s an ongoing email conversation – a space where you can explore Tai Chi more deeply, in your own time, with thoughtful guidance and reflection.

You’ll practice as you normally do, then write to me about what you notice. I’ll respond with ideas, questions, and suggestions that open up new layers of the form. Together, we build a dialogue – not about doing more, but about seeing more in what you already do.

What this offers you

As this conversational journey develops, you will benefit from some or all of the following:

  • See Tai Chi in a new light – like re-reading a favourite book, the more you explore, the more you’ll discover about the form… and about yourself.
  • Go deeper than a class – we’ll explore the principles behind the movements, the things that often get missed when you’re just following along.
  • Work with what you already know – no new routines, no replacing your teacher – just adding richness to what you’ve already learnt.
  • Bring in your other practices – Tai Chi, Chi Kung, or martial arts – we’ll use what you do as a springboard, not as something to change.

Why email-only?

Because this is about reflection as much as practice. By working through email, you get space to experiment on your own, then step back and notice what changes. You don’t need to be “on the spot” – you can learn in a way that feels private, steady, and personal. And through this reflection, you’ll begin to appreciate how Tai Chi can be used to develop the mind-body connection.

If you’ve been practising Tai Chi for a while and want to go deeper into the art – beyond steps and sequences – this is a gentle way to do it. You don’t need extra classes or long Zoom calls, just a willingness to reflect and explore through writing.

How it works

We’ll exchange emails each week, building a conversation around your practice. Sometimes I’ll send you links to my library, or questions to help you notice more. You’ll have time to experiment in your own way, then come back with reflections.

The exchange

The fee is £190 per month for this high-touch email coaching. It’s a simple arrangement: no fixed end date, just as long as you find value in the exploration.

About Me

I’m not just a Tai Chi teacher. Over the years I’ve trained and worked as a coach, therapist, and mentor, which means I bring a wider perspective into this email journey. My approach isn’t limited to physical movement – it also draws on tools for reflection, awareness, and personal growth.

I’ve been practising Tai Chi, Chi Kung, and mindfulness since the 1980s, steadily exploring how movement and awareness can support both body and mind. This long experience means I can guide you not only in how to move, but in how to notice, reflect, and grow through the practice.

What you’ll get in these emails is the blend of it all: Tai Chi principles, mindfulness insights, therapeutic understanding, and coaching-style development – always tailored to your own exploration.
